Arminianism

The focus of this section will be dealing with those who are considered Arminians and teach that Christians can lose their Salvation. Some people teach that Arminianism is false, teaching a false gospel message of works for salvation, man centered, but is this true? Is Arminianism false? What does Arminianism teach? Are all those who are not not 5 point Calvinists actually 5 point Arminianists? Jacob Arminius lived during the time of the Protestant Reformation and did not hold to the doctrines of what is called Calvinism. There are many things which Jacob Arminius taught that we have agreement with. However there are many who are labeled today as being Arminians but they don’t truly hold to the teachings of what Jacob Arminius taught and stood for. To get a clear understanding of what our views are on Arminianism and Calvinism then check out our article Calvinism, Arminianism, and Biblicalism In short we would agree with those who are considered Arminians in the beliefs that Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Limited Atonement, and Irresistible Grace as not being in complete harmony with what the Scriptures teach. Doctrines labeled as Once Saved Always Saved, Eternal Security, Assurance of Salvation, these we would agree with when it comes to Calvinism. However, those who teach you can lose your salvation, works gospel for salvation, these we don’t agree with because the Scriptures don’t teach these things. Our goal is to refute false doctrines and present with clarity what the Bible teaches. Any questions, comments, suggestions, please contact us.
This section is for addressing Arminianism, Calvinism, the Emergent Church, the Faith Movement, Hyper-Dispensationalism (Mid Acts Dispensationalism), Jehovah’s Witnesses, Latter-Day Saints (Mormonism), Oneness Pentecostalism (Jesus Only, United Pentecostal Church International), Roman Catholicism, and others will be added when needed. If you are of one of these movements and believe you are being represented wrongly please share your reasoning and we will examine that more thoroughly.
